System Down Time - O2O

When the Transfer Data Using OXI task is "Steady," meaning that all of large chunks of data have been transferred to the Target property, then the Start Down Time Procedures can be started. When the System Down Time task is finished running, then the Target property can start being used for the daily activities and procedures. The Source property will still exist, but should on be accessed for reference only. Dome of the information that is migrated during this procedure is related to the guest balances, open AR invoices, all applicable S&C procedures, the telephone book, guest messages, etc.

Note: This should only be ran when the Source property can stop with all of its daily activities and procedures and when the Synchronization Process, Generate XML Process,, Transfer XML Process, and Process XML transfer processes have been stopped. As long as these processes are running, they will keep pulling data as long as there is any activity at the Source or Target property.

Once the Transfer Data Using OXI task is "Steady," meaning that all of large chunks of data have been transferred to the Target property and thus can be considered completed, then the Start Down Time Procedures can be started.

It is expected that all activity in source and target properties will be stopped and all users are out of the system at this point. This should only be ran when the Source property can stop with all of its daily activities and procedures and when the Synchronization Process, Generate XML Process, Transfer XML Process, and Process XML transfer processes have been stopped. As long as these processes are running, they will keep pulling data as long as there is any activity at the Source or Target property even if a user is not logged into O2O. It is typical for this process to take less than 8 hrs so users should be adequately prepared to be manual for this period of time.

When the System Down Time task is finished running, then the Target property can start being used for the daily activities and procedures. The Source property will still exist, but should only be accessed for reference. The information that is migrated during this procedure is related to the guest balances, open AR invoices, all applicable S&C procedures, the telephone book, guest messages, etc.

Any errors encountered will be seen in the monitoring window and should be addressed before users are allowed to enter the Target system.

It is advisable to do a resync of inventory to build availability for the Target property before users are allowed to enter the new system.
