Searching for a Catering Package
To access the Select Catering Package screen, select the Packages button from the Events screen. You are also asked if you wish to add a package when you create a new Event. When you respond Yes to the prompt, the Select Catering Package screen appears.
Multiple factors determine if a catering package is available to be sold for a specific booking, depending on the catering package configuration. Booking dates and other details are defaulted into the package search screen when looking for a package to book for the appropriate Business Block.
Property. If the multi- property version is installed, select the property.
Pkg. Code. Use the pick box to select from a list of all configured Package Codes.
Attendees. To. Search for packages that are valid for the number of attendees entered here. The number of attendees from the Business Block will be defaulted into the attendee field.
Duration. Number of days for which the package should be applicable. The Business Block duration will be filled into the field by default.
Mkt. Code. The market code to which the package price record must be applicable. Package prices can be configured for specific market segments if necessary. By default, the Business Block market segment will be filled into the search field.
Booking Type. The booking type to which the package price record must be applicable. Packages can be configured for specific booking types if necessary. By default, the Business Block market segment will be filled into the search field.
Book From. To. Search for packages that are valid for bookings for the date range entered here. By default, the Business Block arrival and departure dates are transferred into these fields.
Sell Date. Defaults to the current system date. Check for package codes that have been configured as being available for sale on the selected date.
Price Code. Search for all packages that have the selected price code attached to them.
X. An X in this column indicated the package has been selected.
Pkg. Code. Configured package code.
Package Name. Full name of the package
Days. Number of days this package is configured for.
Price Code. The price code attached to the package. One package code can have multiple price records attached, making it available at different times, for different market segments or booking types at different prices. If more than one price code is applicable for the package within the specified search criteria, the package code will appear twice or more times in the grid, once for each applicable price code.
Price Description. Full description of the price code.
Price. Amount to be charged for this package per person.
Search. Initiates a new search with changed search criteria.
View Pkg. Allows view only access to the package configuration template. All package elements can be seen from here.
OK. Continue booking the selected package(s).
Close. Close the package search screen without selecting a package.
