Revenue Overview

Select the Overview button from the account Profile Options menu (Reservations>Profiles) to display the Revenue Overview screen. The Revenue Overview screen is a concise picture of business originating from the selected account for any period of interest. The Overview feature is available when the Profiles application function Account Overview is set to Y.

The data shown on the Revenue Overview screen belongs to bookings for which the account is the primary account. Company, agent, and source accounts can all be attached to a booking as primary accounts of their account type. Thus, primary company, source, and agent accounts attached to a booking will all have the revenue of that booking credited to their respective account profiles.

When the user selects a period of interest using the From Date and To Date search criteria, the upper grid, Block Summary, shows essential statistics related to the business blocks originated by this account, broken down by business block status. Information categories include number of bookings, number of room nights, average room rate, and revenue derived from various sources such as rooms, function space rental, and food and beverage. The columns are totalled at the bottom of the grid.

Notice that the data shown in this grid are only for the dates specified by the search criteria. If booking dates are partially inside the range and partially outside the range, room night and revenue data for dates outside of the range are not included. The search can include past, current, and future bookings, depending on the date range.

The lower grid, Individual Summary, gives statistics on any non-group business related to this account. In other words, it summarizes information related to stays of individual guests whose reservations were attached to this account.
