Note: When the OPR<version Number>ORS license code is active, three radio buttons appear on the Application Settings screen that affect what Group Functions, Parameters, and Settings will be available.
- The Global radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in all CROs in the ORS database.
- The CRO radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in the CRO selected from the CRO LOV.
- The Property radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that are available on the property level and will only affect the property selected in the Property LOV.
Functions
- ADVANCED DYNAMIC BASE RATES _ Activate Advanced Dynamic Base Rates functionality.
- ADVANCED PACKAGES - Activate Advanced Package functionality.
- ADVANCED POLICIES - Activate Advanced Policies Functionality.
- APARTMENT STYLE BILLING - Activates ability to configure weekly/monthly Apartment Style rates and invoice guests in advance on a weekly/monthly periodic basis.
- BASE RATES - Activation of Rates Based on Rates Functionality.
- BEST AVAILABLE RATES - Display the best available rate per room type in the rate query display.
- DAILY RATES - Activate Daily Rates Functionality.
- DAY TYPES - Activate Day Type Functionality.
- DYNAMIC BASE RATES - Activate Dynamic Base Rate Functionality. User can setup dependant rate codes dynamically (calculated while checking availability) based on daily or regular rate code.
- DYNAMIC BEST AVAILABLE RATE - Activate Dynamic Best Available Rate Functionality
- FREE CHILD RATES BY DEFINED BUCKETS - When turned on, system calculates the price of a child staying for free in the property.
- MYFIDELIO RATE UPLOAD - Activate to identify rate codes that should be uploaded to the MyFidelio.net application. An additional component checkbox will be displayed on the Rate Header configuration screen to identify these rate codes. This should only be enabled if your Opera ORS has a MyFidelio.net central connector.
- NEGOTIATED RATES - Activate Negotiated Rates functionality.
- OCCUPANT THRESHOLD PRICING METHOD - Pricing method which calculates extra charge based on the occupants.
- PREVAILING RATE BY LOS - Activate the Prevailing Rate By Length of Stay functionality.
- PREVAILING RATE CODE - The rate code that will be referenced in the sell process as the 'Prevailing' Rate. The Rate Code defined here signifies to Opera which rate code to update/create rates against when receiving from TLP the proposed Bid Prices/Hurdles.
- PROMOTIONS - Activate Reservation Promotions functionality.
- RATE CODE APPROVAL - Rate Code Approval.
- RATE HEADER MULTIPLE ROOM TRN CODE LINKAGE - Link Multiple Transaction Codes by Room Class / Room Type on the Rate Header
- RATE RESTRICTION - Activate the Advance Rate Restriction Functionality, which includes Rate Availability and Rate Strategy screens.
- RATE SEASONS - Activate Rate Season Functionality.
- RATE TIERS - Activate the Rate Tier Functionality. This allows configuration of Length of Stay Tiers and Rate Details by defined Lengths of Stay.
- RATES BY DEFINED BUCKETS - Activate Children Rates functionality. Rate Details can be configured by five user defined buckets. The minimum and maximum age for Buckets 1, 2 and 3 and the labels for the Buckets 4 and 5 are user defined in Application Settings (RATES Group).
- SUPPRESS RATE - Activate Suppress Rate Functionality.
Parameters
- ADD INCLUDED PACKAGE IN ROOM REVENUE - This parameter change calculation of room revenue statistics (reservation_stat_daily table) and add included package's revenue into the room revenue.
- BASE RATE EXTRA PERSON CALCULATION - Indicates if Base Rate Calculation should be applied to Extra Adult and Extra Child Amount.
- DISTRIBUTABLE RATES - The functionality allows Rate codes to be distributed to V6 and V7 properties interfaced to ORS. Example: A Rate code RACK created in the Central office can be distributed to 30 Fidelio V6 or V7 properties if the parameter is turned ON and the Checkbox Distributable Rate is checked.
- DISTRIBUTE RATES MANUALLY - Manually Distribute Rates Codes to Properties.
- ENABLE RATE GROUPS - When Rate Groups are enabled, out of all Best Available Rates only the BEST rate code for each rate group will display. Also, user can setup BAR Based Rate Codes to calculate the Rate Amount based on Best BAR Rate Code's amount of a particular group.
- FLAG OWNER RATE CODE - Ability to define Rate Code as an Owner Rate Code. Upon guest no show, reservation with Owner Rate Code will not be automatically no showed during End of Day. Instead the arrival date will be automatically extended to the next day until departure day.
- HIDE PROMOTION RATES - Hide the display of rate Codes attached to Promotions in the Rate Query/Sales screen unless selecting the specific Promotion Code.
- INTERFACE PUBLISHING - If ENABLED all new rate codes created by the OXIHUB interface will look at the rate code template table for channels in which this rate code should be published. This is only applicable for public rates. Negotiated rates will still need user intervention to be published. If parameter is DISABLED then no publishing takes place through the interface.
- LENGTH OF STAY RESTRICTION - Does the property wish to use the length of stay restriction type?
- LOCK APPROVED RATE CODES - When RATE CODE APPROVAL is active and this parameter is turned ON, all approved rate codes are locked and only users with the RATE CODE APPROVAL permission can modify the rates. All other users will have read-only rights for the approved rates.
- MEMBERSHIP RATES - Activates membership rates that allows linking of a rate code to a membership type/membership level.
- MULTI CURRENCY - Ability to Quote and Post Rates in both Local and Foreign Currencies.
- MULTIPLE YIELD MARKET TYPES - When YIELD MARKET TYPES is active, allows configuration of multiple yield market types per rate header, one being default.
- NEGOTIATED RATE TEMPLATE - If ENABLED allows to mark negotiated rates in the rate code template. The negotiated rates will then be displayed in the rate code LOV for channel rates. If DISABLED negotiated checkbox is not available in the rate code template and rate code LOV for channel rates is displayed from reading the profile negotiated rates.
- ORS SELL SEQUENCE FOR RATES - This parameter allows for the Hotel to define the Sell Sequence of the Rates in ORS. This is separate from the Sell Sequence coming up from the property.
- PROMOTION COUPON CODES - The ability to generate limited use coupon codes linked to a promotion code.
- PROMOTION LINKED TO PAYMENT METHODS - Promotion linked to payment methods.
- RATE CODE POSTING RHYTHM - Ability to define 'Do not post on every X night.'
- RATE DETAIL ADDED VALUE PER PERSON - Create Rate Details as flat amounts per person or enter Rate Details as added values. When this parameter = 'N' Rate Detail configuration will be standard or entering flat amounts. When this parameter = 'Y' Rate Detail configuration will be added values per person.
- RATE FLOOR - Set a minimum rate amount for rate details.
- REALTIME HOLIDEX RATE AVAILABILITY - This parameter will introduce the real-time rate availability check from HOLIDEX. Plus replacing the current internal process in Opera for determining rate availability. Opera rates amounts will be used instead of the amounts returned from HOLIDEX. Plus in the availability response to populate rate query grid. In case of a response timeout or an error Opera Rate Availability will be shown.
- SET RATE CATEGORY RESTRICTIONS - Set Rate Restriction at Rate Category level.
- SET RATE CODE RESTRICTIONS - Set Rate Restriction at Rate Code level.
- SHOW ADD SEPARATE LINE PKGS TO RATES ON RATE QUERY - Include Packages that are ‘Add Rate Separate Line’ in the Rate Query.
- SHOW PROFILE DISCOUNTS IN RATE AVAILABILITY - Show Profile Discounts in Rate Availability Screen.
- YIELD MARKET TYPES - Activate Yield Market Type Hurdle Functionality
Settings
- BEST AVAILABLE RATE TYPE - When set to BAR by Day, up to 25 Rate Codes per day my be configured for consideration of the Best Available Rate. The Rate Query will return up to 4 Rate Amounts per Room type for the Best Available Rate.
- DAILY RATE RULES - When set to RULE, Daily Rates can be configure and determine based on rule specified in Rate Rule field. When set to STAY_THROUGH, Daily Rates can be configure and determine based on stay through amount specified in stay through field. When set to NONE, Daily Rates can be configure and determine based on Rate Amount without any extra stay through calculations.
- DAILY RATES MAX DAYS - Maximum Number of Days user can configure for Daily Rates functionality.
- DEFAULT PACKAGE TRN CODE - Default Transaction Code for Package Rate Codes.
- DEFAULT RATE LEVEL - Default rate level used by interfaces when uploading rate codes to external systems, such as to GDS.
- DEFAULT TRANSACTION CODE - Default Transaction Code.
- LOCK DOWN DAILY RATE DETAILS - Lock down daily rate details to avoid manual edition. Rates Details are being maintained through an interface.
- MANDATE RESV PROFILES - Profile types to be mandatory for the specific rates on reservations.
- MASS RATE REFRESH CONFIRMATION LETTER - Designates report to be sent for massive rate refresh.
- MAX NUMBER RATE LEVELS - Maximum Number of Rate Levels system will support for Dynamic Best Available Rate functionality.
- MAX AGE RATE BUCKET 1 - The maximum age threshold for first rate bucket.
- MAX AGE RATE BUCKET 2 - The maximum age threshold for second rate bucket.
- MAX AGE RATE BUCKET 3 - The maximum age threshold for third rate bucket.
- MIN AGE RATE BUCKET 1 - The minimum age threshold for the first rate bucket.
- MIN AGE RATE BUCKET 2 - The minimum age threshold for the second rate bucket.
- MIN AGE RATE BUCKET 3 - The minimum age threshold for the third rate bucket.
- RATE BUCKET 4 - Label for the fourth Rate Bucket. Rate amounts can NOT be defined for this bucket in Rate Code configuration. The field and label will only be displayed in Reservations.
- RATE BUCKET 5 - Label for the fifth Rate Bucket. Rate amounts can NOT be defined for this bucket in Rate Code configuration. The field and label will only be displayed in Reservations.
- RATE STRATEGY THRESHOLD NOTIFICATION EMAIL ADDRESSES - Comma separated list of email addresses to which email notifications are to be sent when the rate strategy is being modified or when the rate strategy is about to be triggered as per the threshold rules set up on the rate strategy.
- RESTRICTION TYPES - Restriction Types to be available for Property.
- START OF RATE WEEK - First day of the week for Apartment Style Rates having calendar week cycle.
