Best Western Guarantee Codes

When the OXI OPX_BWI Opera Xchange 2-way for BWI add-on license code is active and the property mode is set to Best Western the Guarantee Code screen becomes available from the Rate Code Configuration (Configuration>Rate Management> Rate Classifications>Rate Codes) and Block Header (Block>Business Block>Business Block Search>New or Edit buttons>CRSGuar. button) screens exclusively. Access to the Opera schedule screen will not allow a user to flag a Rate Code as distributable.

The Guarantee Code screen creates the required number of records, so that a single entry allows you to generate the required guarantee code for all rate and/or block details. Active rate codes and blocks that are flagged as 'distributable' will require valid guarantee and cancel policies; once these details are populated, the Rate Code and or Block Headers can then be saved.

Note: Guarantee policies for blocks with duplicate block codes do not get processed.

OXI_BWI TCP/IP Message Handling

The OXI Processor has enhanced TCP/IP message handling so that OXI will retry messages that are not successfully able to be sent to the external server. The primary feature of this change is to alleviate issues where outbound messages in the BWI interface show as 'PROCESSED' indefinitely and never change to 'RESULT SUCCESS'.

OXI_BWI Inventory Handling

When sending inventory updates to a BWI CRS (for example, in response to a CRSOVERALL request) the inventory count for any given day is calculated by taking the total number of rooms in the hotel minus the number of rooms out of order for the given day.

OXI_BWI Rate Handling

OXI_BWI Rate messages will always include rate amounts for the number of persons equal to the maximum number of persons defined for the room type. When a rate amount is not defined in the rate detail, the extra adult amount is used to calculate the rate amount. When the extra adult amount is not defined, the rate amount of the highest number of persons is used for all persons that do not have a rate amount defined in the rate detail.

OXI_BWI Update Reservations

The OXI Interface will only send only send Reservation updates to checked in reservations if a change is made to one of the following modules:
