Territories

Sales information can be provided on company, travel agent, source, and contact Profile screens, primarily on the Sales Info tab. This information can assist Sales Managers in decision-making and can be used as filters in preparing sales reports.

Territories are the geographical sales areas where accounts and contacts are located. Select System Configuration>Profile>Sales Information>Territories to set up sales territories. The Territories screen appears.

The Territories screen shows the following information.

Code. Code that represents the territory.

Description. Description of the territory code.

Seq. Number that controls the position of the territory in displays.

Adding and Editing Territories

To create a new territory, select the New button from the Territories screen. To modify an existing territory, highlight your choice on the Territories screen and select the Edit button. The Territories - New or Territories - Edit screen appears.

Provide the following information and select the OK button.

Code. Enter a code for the territory (for example, NA for North America, AU for Australia, etc.).

Description. Enter a description for the territory code.

Display Seq. Enter a number that will control the position of this territory when listed in screen displays. Territories that do not have a display sequence number appear in alphabetical order following the territories that have a sequence number assigned.
