Influence Codes
Sales information can be provided on company, travel agent, source, and contact Profile screens, primarily on the Sales Info tab. This information can assist Sales Managers in decision-making and can be used as filters in preparing sales reports.
Influence codes may be associated with contact profiles to indicate the impact that a contact has on purchase decisions involving your property's offerings. Select System Configuration>Profile>Sales Information>Influence Codes to set up sales influence codes. The Influence Codes screen appears.
The Influence Codes screen shows the following information.
Code. Code that represents the level of influence.
Description. Description of the influence code.
Seq. Number that controls the position of the influence code in displays.
To create a new influence code, select the New button from the Influence Codes screen. To modify an existing influence code, highlight your choice on the Influence Codes screen and select the Edit button. The Influence Codes - New or Influence Codes - Edit screen appears.
Provide the following information and select the OK button.
Code. Enter a code for the level of influence (for example, DEC for the decision maker, NEG for negotiator, etc.).
Description. Enter a description for the influence code.
Display Seq. Enter a number that will control the position of this influence code when listed in screen displays. Influence codes that do not have a display sequence number appear in alphabetical order following the influence codes that have a sequence number assigned.
Inactive. Select this checkbox to inactivate the selected influence code. Leave unchecked for active codes. Inactive codes will not be available for selection on a profile, but will be available for selection in filters and queries.
