Rooms Management Overview

Note: When the OPR<version Number>ORS license code is active, three radio buttons appear on the Application Settings screen that affect what Group Functions, Parameters, and Settings will be available.

- The Global radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in all CROs in the ORS database.
- The CRO radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in the CRO selected from the CRO LOV.  
- The Property radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that are available on the property level and will only affect the property selected in the Property LOV.

Functions

• ATTENDANT POINTS - Activate Attendant Points functionality.
• DISCREPANT ROOMS - Activate Discrepant Room functionality.
• FACILITY MANAGEMENT - Activate the Facility Management functionality.
• GUEST SERVICE STATUS - Activate Guest Service Status Functionality.
• MAINTENANCE - Activate Maintenance functionality.
• OUT OF ORDER - Activate Out of Order Functionality.
• OUT OF SERVICE - Activate Out of Service functionality.
• OVERBOOKING - Activate the Overbooking Functionality
• PICKUP STATUS - Activate Pickup functionality.
• QUEUE ROOMS - Activate Queue Rooms Functionality.
• ROOM CONDITIONS - Activate House Assignments functionality.
• ROOM HISTORY - Activate Room History functionality.
• SIMPLE TASK ASSIGNMENT - Activate Simplified Task Assignment.
• TASK ASSIGNMENT - Activate Task Assignment functionality.
• TURNDOWN - Activate Turndown functionality.
• INSPECTED STATUS - Activate the Room Status called Inspected.

Parameters

• CUSTOMIZE FACILITY SCHEDULE PRIOR TO CHECK IN - Activating this parameter allows for those reserved reservations to have the ability to customize their facility schedule.
• UPDATE ROOM STATUS - If active, the Night Audit Procedure hkpg.update_room_status_proc will update all rooms to a "Dirty" Status. If not active, the Night Audit Procedure will update all Occupied Rooms to a "Dirty" status.
• DELETE REQUESTS OVER 60 DAYS - Automatically delete Resolved Maintenance Requests which are greater than 60 Days.
• HOUSEKEEPING CREDITS - Use Credit Assignments in Housekeeping.
• HOUSEKEEPING SECTIONS - Activate Housekeeping Sections.
• SHOW TASK SHEET STATUS MENU - Do not enable unless you have a PBX that sends Attendant ID. Opens menu path 'Rooms Management->Housekeeping->Task Sheet Status.' Contains time stamps, based on attendant id, of when housekeepers enter and/or exit a room.
• TASK SHEET COMPLETION - Complete Task Sheets.

Settings

• DAYS TO KEEP ROOM REPAIR HISTORY - Number of Days to keep Room Repair History before deletion.
• DEFAULT TASKSHEET STYLE - Default Tasksheet Style for the property.
• DEFAULT TURNDOWN - Default setting for Turndown. When set to "Y", all new reservations will have the Turndown set to "Y". When set to "N" all new reservations will have the Turndown set to "N".
• QUEUE RUSH TEXT DEFAULT NUMBER - Default phone number to receive text messages for Queue Rush.
• TRAVELING TASK CREDITS - Traveling Task Credits.
• UPDATE NO SHOW ASSIGNED ROOM STATUS - The night audit procedure hkpgk.update_room_status_proc will update all No Show rooms to the room status selected here. If no status is selected, then the room status of the no show assigned rooms will not be changed. Should a reservation with an assigned room number cancel on expected day of arrival, the reservation too shall adhere to this set room status.
• UPDATE OCCUPIED ROOM STATUS -
• UPDATE VACANT ROOM STATUS - The night audit procedure hkpgk.update_room_satus_proc will update all vacant rooms to the room status selected here. If no status is selected then the room status of vacant rooms will not be changed.
