Description. Storage of printed folios to be viewed/printed without re-generation.

Internal Name. PERMANENT_FOLIO_STORAGE

Property Determination. Activating this parameter allows a property to store an exact copy of a folio as a PDF when it is created. If the saved folio is being viewed or re-printed, then it is pulled from the stored PDF folio. The copies of the folios are stored in the location of, for example, D:\micros\opera\export\<schema_name>\<resort>\folios\<business date>.

Activation / Inactivation Rules.

Properties that will be activating this functionality will have to ensure that adequate back up space is in place as Micros will not be responsible for any legal implications in case these folios are lost, for example hard disk failure, etc.

Other Application Settings.

The Cashiering>Folio Printing (1-8) application setting must be set to ALWAYS or YES.
To use this functionality with AR, the AR>No Modify Invoice application parameter must be set to Y.
To use the Permanent Folio Storage functionality with Remote Check Out, be sure that a printer is defined for the IFC>Video Check Out Printer application setting.

Notes.

For folios that were created before the activation of this parameter, they will be re-generated and NOT stored as a PDF when printed or viewed from Folio History.
For properties using a Kiosk Interface, the Guest Stationary option will have to be set to Print or Generate File on the Kiosk Interface Configuration screen for this functionality to properly work.
