Membership Overview

Note: When the OPR<version Number>ORS license code is active, three radio buttons appear on the Application Settings screen that affect what Group Functions, Parameters, and Settings will be available.

- The Global radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in all CROs in the ORS database.
- The CRO radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in the CRO selected from the CRO LOV.  
- The Property radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that are available on the property level and will only affect the property selected in the Property LOV.

Functions

• AWARD REDEMPTION - Activate the Award Redemption Functionality.
• AWARDS - Activate Guest Award functionality.
• CALCULATE POINTS ON PSEUDO ROOMS - Calculate pseudo points based on the rules setup for the membership type selected in the DEFAULT MEMBERSHIP TYPE setting of the Profile Group in application settings.
• ENROLLMENT - Activate Loyalty Program Enrollment option.
• LOOKUP - Perform Central Lookups based on the configuration mode running.
• STAGE PROFILES - Use Match and Merge screen to correct staged profiles

Parameters

• ALL HOTEL NIGHTS - Enable the system to send member information about all hotel nights to various V6 and V7 properties.
• AUTO GENERATE MEMBERSHIP NUMBER - Automatically generates membership number when creating a new account.
• AUTO UPGRADE PROMPT ALL DATES - Auto upgrade prompt to appear regardless of arrival date.
• COURTESY CARD HANDLING - Activate Courtesy Card Handling.
• GUARANTEED AVAILABILITY FOR MEMBERS - Activates guaranteed availability functionality for members.
• MEMBER FREE AUTO UPGRADE - Member free auto Upgrade.
• MEMBERSHIP AWARD EXPORT - Allow user to add data in UDF for export file of awards.
• MEMBERSHIP AWARD PAYMENT - If parameter value is set to Y, then membership award payment will be available in PMS.
• MEMBERSHIP BILLING - Activate membership billing reports.
• MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION CODE - Enable campaign or promotion codes for memberships.
• MEMBERSHIP EXCEPTION - Exception detection procedure for Membership pts. calculation.
• OCIS BOOKER PROGRAM - Enable the system to set up Booker Program for OCIS memberships.
• OCIS MEMBERSHIP CLAIMS - Enable OCIS membership claims.
• OCIS MEMBERSHIP CONFIGURATION - Enable the system to set up for OCIS memberships.
• OVERRIDE PREFERRED CARD - Override preferred card for stay records and defaulting on new member enrollment.
• PAYMENT TYPES BY MEMBERSHIP TYPES - Payment Types by Membership Type.
• PREFERRED CARD - Allow member to choose one preferred membership type for each membership class.
• USE RTC FOR RATE AWARDS - When enabled, upon rate award redemption reservation, if the RTC field is different from the room type field (possible upgrade), then the RTC room type will be evaluated against the award rate and not the room type in the room type field.

Settings

• AWARDS LOOKUP TIMEOUT - Defines the amount of seconds after which the system/interface will time out if no response has been received from a third party system.
• COST PER POINT DECIMAL - Number of decimals in Cost per Point in membership point calculation rule.
• DEFAULT MEMBERSHIP SOURCE - This is the default source of enrollment that will be appended and added to the membership number when CROSS BRAND RECOGNITION parameter is activated. User should use this application setting to set the enrollment source code that will be added to members enrolling in his chain.
• ENROLLMENT TYPE - Enrollment systems that are active to Opera.
• LOOKUP TYPE - Lookup systems that are active to Opera.
• MEMBER INFO DOWNLOAD RANGE (YEARS) - Number of years for which membership information is summarized.
